Lilou Wadoux, only 20 years
old, is a rising star on the international endurance scene. She took her first
steps only a few years ago, in 2017, by participating in karting sessions.
It was in 2022 that her
potential became apparent when she made her World Endurance Championship debut
in the LMP2 class for the Richard Mille Racing Team. She finished the season
with flying colours, finishing with four top ten finishes.
She will become the first
female Hypercar driver at the Bahrain 8 Hours in November. It was also during
this event that she had the opportunity and the chance to discover the cockpit
of the Ferrari 488 GTE. It is with this vehicle that she will represent Richard
Mille AF Corse during the next World Endurance Championship.
Lilou's appointment as an
official Ferrari Competizioni GT driver underlines the manufacturer's
long-standing focus on the role of women in motorsport.
Lilou Wadoux: "I am
delighted and incredibly proud to join the Ferrari family. Becoming an official
driver is a dream come true and brings great responsibility. However, hard work
always pays off and I will do my best to thank the people who believed in me
from the beginning. This new position is an important step in my young career,
but I am ready to give it my all and represent one of the most famous brands in
the world."
